  The Student Council Health and Life Sciences consists of around 20 students who are representing the students during the year at the divers gremia of the faculty. During the meetings of the Student Council all matters relating the faculty are being discussed, this goes from matters of the MUMC+(Maastricht Universitair Medisch Centrum) to course evaluations of the studies Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences and European Public Health. As a chairman I am responsible for communication with the Directors of Education and the chairmen of the gremia at the faculty in order to be up to date as much as possible. Show less

  During my internship at the WHO Office for the European Region I worked on the effect of media use on the mental health of adolescents. The project was initiated as a multi-disciplinary, and therefore I worked under the supervision of Monika Kosinska (Programme Manager Governance for Health) and Matt Muijen (Programme Manager Mental Health). As the conclusion of my internship I've led a seminar on mental health and media use, which was attended by WHO personnel and interns.   As the chairman of the association I had to preside a board of seven. The association consists of 800 students, of which around 100 students were actively involved with the association. One of the duties of the chairman was to take control over two committees of the association.
