I was a lecturer at Birkbeck from 2005 to 2010. During the period 2009-2010 I also was one of the research supervisors of Thidawan, doing her Mphil/PhD in Social Network Analysis. It was during this period that Thidawan refined her subject and oriented herself towards the analysis of clusters in social networks. Thidawan is a nice and engaging researcher, passionate about her work.

I have known Thidawan while I was a lecturer at Birkbeck (2012-2013). During this period I acted as one of her PhD Thesis supervisors and worked together towards a research paper that was published at the International Symposium on Intelligent Data Analysis (IDA) 2013. During our collaboration I realised that Thidawan is a very persistent researcher who works hard towards achieving her goals!

My thesis is Clustering of Wikipedia Co-occurrence Networks .My research area is Investigating Complex Networks and Social Network Analysis. I am also interested in detecting patterns in social networks and investigating the unusual behaviour where present data sources are linked to new social data sourcesThe recent project that I proposed, is a social network analytics framework, called T-component, a framework for structural clustering to find natural cluster behaviour on a large-scale.
