This research was about designing, testing and implementing Feedback Control Strategies to Switched Power Mode Converters (SMPS), more specifically non-isolated DC-DC Converters. I worked extensively with MATLAB and SIMULINK and in the following areas I improved my engineering expertise: Power Electronics, Control Systems, Modeling and Simulation and Programming. My task in this research at LabCiTeA was to analyze micro gas turbines and its cogeneration potential through absorption chillers and to implement theoretically these practices to residential/commercial buildings. Data Analysis, Thermodynamics, Gas and Electricity Tariffs and Electric Power Sector Regulations knowledge along with programming in MATLAB were essential in order to complete this project.
