Positions included serving as Officer-in-Charge (OIC) of dental clinics at Fort Riley, Kansas, Fort Hood, Texas, Korea and the Pentagon in Washington DC. Final assignment as an Army dentist was serving as the Chief of General Dentistry at the Walter Reed Army Medical Center (WRAMC) in Washington DC. While in the Army, completed a two-year Comprehensive Dentistry Residency at the U.S. Navy Dental School, National Naval Medical Center, Bethesda, Maryland; graduated from U.S. Army Command & General Staff College, Fort Leavenworth, Kansas; and the U.S. Army Combat Casualty Care Course at Fort Sam Houston, Texas.
