Oversee and coordinate our Tales of Joy R.E.A.D. (Reading Education Assistance Dogs) Program within our Rio Rancho Public Schools since January 2006. This is a program that allows teacher selected students to "read aloud" to a registered Therapy dog & handler on a weekly basis throughout the school year! For the same reason Therapy dogs are so beneficial in hospitals, nursing homes, and VA . . . it works with the children in our schools!
