In this role I managed a $110 million Cooperative Research Centre bid in Chronic Wounds (24 national and international participants from research organisations, government and industry). This included attracting partners, managing stakeholder relationships and preparing all aspects of the application, including the written component, the budget and the economic forecasting. This funding proposal was successful, and $28M of Commonwealth funding was awarded in late December 2009.

In this role I was responsible for managing all aspects (communication, contracts, budgets, HR, compliance) of a $10M Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation Grand Challenges in Global Health project, across 5 countries. This project focused on improving the iron and vitamin A content of bananas particularly for East African communities.
