  I had to work with three other bilingual foreigners to test the efficacy of the service and signage of the Hankyu Railway in Kansai, Japan. We tested the services for three days before compiling a report in Japanese on our findings.

  I was a researcher for the BBC on the radio and television documentary 'Japan's Never-Ending War', presented by Dr. Rana Mitter. My responsibilities included preliminary emailing of potential interview subjects and translating their responses for the producers, as well as location scouting and content research into some of the films that were being discussed. I was also present during some of the filming, at which I helped with lighting, as well as minor interpretation.
