Lived & worked on this organic, biodynamic farm; involved in many aspects of vegetable production including sowing, watering, thinning, transplanting, bed amending, harvesting, washing, and selling at local farmer’s market. Compiled weekly orders for 50 CSA members. Farm also raised pigs, cows, chickens, goats, & turkeys according to Animal Welfare Approved (AWA) standards and I assisted with feeding & tending to these animals. Team-oriented & labor-intensive. This family was wonderful and I feel lucky and grateful to know them. I worked with 15-25 month-old Kaia while her parents were at work. We went on walks, exploring our surroundings and examining nature; read books; played games, music, and toys. I helped her count, put on her clothes, and signal for food and drink when hungry. I prepared food, cleaned up, changed diapers, conducted naptime, and monitored while she slept and the parents were away. Full trust and camaraderie were established with both the baby and the parents. Job ended as school position ended for the mother. Show less

I loved working for this independent coffee shop, with locations in Upper West Side, Grand Central Station, Gramercy/Union Square, and SoHo. I worked all shifts, both early morning and late night, making food (sandwiches/bagels) and espresso drinks, as well as operations (cashier and back of house). I am trained on espresso bar to SCAA standards. The supportive, fun team I got to work alongside made assisting our hundreds of customers a breeze. We worked as a unit, all playing independent parts to fulfill the job of serving our neighbors with consistency, speed, and quality. Show less
