A global tide model is a very useful tool to model the impact of sea level rise. In principle the program Delft3D-FLOW had all the functionality available to build such a model, eg. internal tide-generating forces are available. My internship was devoted to extend Delft3D such that it was possible to use this model worldwide. Some adaptations to the source code are done, and the postprocessing part is developed. I have used the SARA supercomputer Lisa to compute the results. A global tide model is a very useful tool to model the impact of sea level rise. I gave extra lessons Numerical Analysis to students of Civil Engineering as a preparation for their exam. Therefore, I had to make a collection of old exams and I had to adapt the current lesson material.
