In addition, as co-president of Peggotty Investment Club, I had the pleasure of working with Thato on a semi-professional level. Having discovered his interest in finance relatively late toward the end of his junior year, Thato wasted no time in becoming actively involved with Peggotty, assuming dual roles as Club Treasurer as well as an analyst in the Energy/Utilities team. As an analyst, Thato was not only confident and knowledgeable about his sector, but also displayed humility and intellectual curiosity when asking honest but relevant and incisive questions about other sectors during general club discussion. As Club Treasurer, Thato was also extremely competent and is someone whom I could trust wholeheartedly to complete tasks with little direction. He also possesses a lot of initiative, often volunteering to help out with tasks that were outside his (dual) job scope.
