  Project : CFD Analysis of Steam Nozzle in Nuclear steam generator of 700MW Softwares : GAMBIT and FLUENT Description: This project deals with the Analysis and Simulation of Nuclear Steam Generator of 500MW is converted to 700MW in BHEL. There was a Single hole nozzle on a HP Steam line of a 500MW Nuclear steam generator in BHEL. The HP Steam line which leads has a bend in which the velocity drops due to increase in capacity by striking straight at the bend. In order to make modification of the Steam line, the whole concrete covering Steam line has to be disintegrated. The BHEL has solution that the single hole nozzle can be replaced with seven hole nozzle which consistently reduces the time and expenses. With the guidance of Mr.R.Elankovan, Manager, R&D, BHEL we try to evaluate the analysis using CFD software (GAMBIT & FLUENT). We successfully accomplished the results which we have done through Fluent. In addition we have also evaluated the flow of single hole nozzle and produced the results. For this project we have got the Best Project Award in College. Project : SUGAR EQUIPMENTS JUICE HEATER, VACUUM PAN, EVAPORATOR Softwares : GAMBIT and FLUENT Description: Sugar Industry was one of the best profit industries unless you take care of Steam Consumption. We should effectively use the Steam in order to have maximum profit. When the steam rate increases it affects the sugar production, Power Export, Bagasse Consumption etc. So in order to make the Maximum Efficiency we are tailor made each equipment. In this application the Computational Fluid Dynamics is applied and analysis report was submitted based on the best design model. Show less
