  ➣ Android:On the new Android TomTom platform, certain applications are being ported. I implemented an Android service that communicates with the Geocontext backend. Next to the service, I implemented an example Android activity, the code is being used as guidance of how to use the Android service and how to correctly implement an Android activity. During the Automotive event in Eindhoven and Helmond, multiple Android applications were displayed where I worked on and some other Android applications which made use of the Geocontext service.➣ Silverlight:For internal demonstrational purposes, I implemented a Silverlight application that visualizes all the content of the Geocontext backend. Another Silverlight application demonstrates the usage of the Geocontext backend on an onboard unit. The user is allowed to ‘drive’ a vehicle around and retrieves geo context data from the Geocontext backend. This data is being visualized for human interpretation. Show less

  I've been part of the SPITS project at the very start.At first, I've worked on a demo for the Intertraffic 2010 exhibition. For the demo, I've implemented a few OSGi bundles which cooperate with CVIS bundles. A road-side-unit (RSU) communicates with all vehicles in range (300m) and pushes the bundle to the vehicle. In the vehicle, the driver is able to see a top view of a parking lot with the few free parking spots available. The driver is able to navigate there. When leaving the parking-lot the parking fee is automatically handled using a billing-OSGI-bundle.From May to date I've been working on the Pay as You Drive application within the SPITS consortium. Within the project Logica, TomTom, TU Delft, and Greencat are developing a system that provides the driver with feedback about their driving behavior. An insurance company uses this feedback to calculate the premium of the insurance holder.I've been working on the design and implementation of the Geocontext webservice (backend). This backend handles geographical contextual data and routes this data to On-Board Units. Interfaces have been designed for On-Board Unit and third parties to communicate to, to either provide or consume geo context data.
