  • To supervise and control day-to-day operations of the Laboratory in accordance with client requirements and industry standards. • Responsible for solving day-to-day operational problems, providing technical and operational guidance to Lab staff. • Supervise the quality of the work of Lab Coordinators and Lab Analysts, proper maintenance of laboratory conditions, safety procedures, equipment, instruments and supplies etc. • To ensure daily testing are on schedule without unjustified delay. • Assist to review and evaluate work performance of Lab Analysts. • Work closely with Chemists to ensure Lab Analysts are trained and competent in lab testing in a timely and accurate manner. • Work closely with Lab Coordinators/Chemists team and attend to quality issues/complaints arising from daily lab operation. Initiate discussion with technical team for appropriate solution. • Assist to ensure all Laboratory operations are in full compliance with the Company’s Ethics policy and the data generated in compliance with Data Integrity policy. • Responsible for responding to client enquiries/requests in a timely manner. Propose most appropriate methods and techniques from a variety of possibilities, some of which may appear equally suitable.• Maintain Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) by working closely with IT department to identify information needs and problems, and recommending improvements. • Support the Company at meetings with clients in order to give technical advice and resolve problems. • Oversee changes in shift team/patterns when necessary to accommodate fluctuating workload. • Supervise to ensure Health and Safety requirements are complied, including the wearing of PPE, identifying and minimising hazards. • Supervise to ensure proper retention and disposal of samples including appropriate documentation. • Send updates on technical issues and testing errors to Lab group for immediate alert.
