    • Singer
      • Feb 2005 - Nov 2010

Metropolis Music operates as a promoter for gigsandtours.com and manages the careers of various significant artists including the late Amy Winehouse, Goldie Looking chain and Sam Sparrow. In addition it promotes V Festival. As the lead singer in an electro pop girl band, under the professional guidance of Metropolis Music, I spent 5 years writing music, studio recording, marketing the band, showcasing to major labels, and entertaining. Audiences ranged from as intimate as 30 through to several thousand. In 2009 our band was reviewed and featured in a number of national newspapers including The Mirror, The Sun, and The Guardian, the latter as new band of the day. We received significant airplay from Huw Stephens on Radio 1, BBC Radio 6 and XFM and were promoted as a personal favourite of ‘Popjustice’. At the height of our success we joined Goldie Lookin Chain on their UK tour and supported Girls Aloud, The Holloways and the Kooks for one off gigs and in October 2009 we released a single. During this period I DJ’d at ‘T4 on the beach’. Funding for the band ceased in 2010, and as a result I took the opportunity to consider my career options. I have now taken the decision to move away from direct entertaining, and seek a career in events management or event promotions. Show less
