Provided synthetic chemistry support for projects in the CNS/Pain Psychiatry portfolio spanning two projects in the Lead Optimization and four projects in the Lead Generation Departments. Ability to run multiple parallel synthesis when applicable. Experience in a range of synthetic scales (from 10 mg - 50 g). Presented and discussed chemistry results at monthly group meetings. * Designed and suggested compounds for synthesis based on the structure activity relationship * Delivered an extensive amount of drug candidates within predetermined deadlines for successful project transitions * Maintenance of preparative HPLC and ISCO instruments for the usage by laboratory group members which reduced down time of the machines and avoided added costs associated with service calls and replacement parts * Organized an intermediate spreadsheet that contained a number of intermediates with bi-weekly quantity updates. This system led to eliminating the order of unnecessary amounts of expensive starting materials * Member of LG Synthetic Organic Chemistry Recruiting Committee and involved in the hiring of 2 chemists * Contributed to patent write-ups in two projects * Compiled useful chemistry and spectroscopy information as welcome packets to new hires into the department * Facilitated the improvement of the current chemical inventory management system. Involved with beta testing the upgrade version
