I had the privilege of meeting Thaís Fontoura in 2018, while working as a Deal Flow Analyst at Quintessa, pioneer impact accelerator in Brazil, focused on supporting businesses generating relevant positive social and environmental impact. It is a true ecosystem of solutions to core social, and environmental challenges in society. Thaís was generous in our conversations, and with sharing knowledge. She is a young executive who has developed a very strong brand, which sets herself apart from other professionals — conflict management and interpersonal relationships. Thais has got a deep, fierce performance, based on true partnerships, human and welcoming, questioning and proposing, developing solutions from end to end, committed to relevant results, ranging from strategic to operational, especially given the scientific evidence: we have exceeded the limits of what the planet is able to support and serious consequences are now inevitable. We are entering the era of purpose-driven capitalism, our challenge now is to develop a truly sustainable global economy. This, then, requires the investment of trillions of dollars in products, services, and technologies that barely exist today. At the time Thaís was acting as a Data Flow Analyst, her mission was to bring structure to the area of selection of business, creating and leading the process from end to end, going from prospecting, cold emails and cold calls, meetings with entrepreneurs, elaborating and presenting the defense materials to the Selection Committee after analyzing criteria such as: i. impact thesis; ii.business model; iii.financial structure; iv.market; v.team and entrepreneur profile, besides several proprietary methodologies at Quintessa, which Thaís helped building, characteristic for being based in-depth and customized to guarantee assertiveness for each partner and startup. Thaís stood out in such a way that she quickly won a promotion, acting as Coordinator of Deal Flow at Quintessa. With this, she also began to influence the definition of commercial strategy (establishing channels and goals, channel understanding, sales pipeline design and budgeting) and the creation of new methodologies and products, particularly during the pandemic. Thaís Fontoura discovered {Parças} and myself while still very young, but with little time in the executive position, she made {Parças} get where it got and helped develop many achievements we had. Those were due to Thaís's unique ability, and I'll be forever grateful for everything she added value for me, and for the business. As a result, soon Thaís Fontoura will become a reference in the field, and one of the great innovative leaders, with competence to address complex problems on a global scale.

I used to coordinate the team that led the selection of entrepreneurs for the acceleration, open innovation and venture philanthropy programs. Besides that, I was responsible for designing scouting strategies and conducting projects with partners such as Braskem, Ambev and Instituto BRF. I also used to influence the commercial strategy definition (setting channels and goals, understanding channels, designing sales pipeline and budget) and I used to create new methodologies and products, especially during the pandemic. Finally, I led a two people team, being responsible for their development. Show less

In 2016, I founded 3Marias, a social impact startup with the aim of contributing to the safety of female mobility in a collaborative way. We developed a female ride on foot app to connect women to feel safer walking together. We were the outstanding startup on Campus Party 2018. As an entrepreneur, I led problem-solution-fit and product-market-fit issues to validate the business model by doing market research and testing MVPs. During that journey I could join into acceleration programs such as Social Good Brasil Lab, Incubação Pense Grande (Fundação Telefônica and Aliança Empreendedora), SEBRAE Startup SP and Incubação ESPM. I have started my career in Unilever, joining Becel’s Brand Building team. During my internship, I helped in the development of communication strategy, performed monthly market data analyzes (AC Nielsen, Knatar/Latin Panel) and monitored the budget (budgeted vs. actual). In addition, I attended media and promotion agencies and monitored the creation, production and placement of assets for on and offline channels. My main project was the development of a Digital Scorecard to analyze brand health indicators in the digital environment, including social media and search strategy (SEO). Show less
