  MedSoc UK is a nationwide society aimed at connecting medical students from all across the UK, providing specialist guidance, support and free resources to help students get the most out of medical school and reach their academic goals. My role as social media representative involved organising and structuring national advertisement and marketing of multiple webinar sessions throughout the year and creating new content on the society social media accounts to improve engagement.

• Senior Virtual Medical Society presenter

  Worked with another Medic Mentor Scholar to create a series of presentations aimed at school students in their senior years (S5/S6) who are interested in a career in medicine. Presentation topics included Empathy, Wider reading and Research. Many of our sessions attracted over 500 attendees.

• Summer School Mentor

  I was responsible for leading and mentoring a group of four aspiring students in their application to study medicine. This involved supporting these students during an intense 5-day course involving 1:1 personal statement coaching and interview preparation. I was part of a large team of medical students and doctors who worked together during the summer school program to share ideas and help run events such as virtual mock interviews. I will continue to provide mentoring support to my group of students up until their UCAS submission date in October. Show less
