My responsibilities as assistant manager was to manage a small team of staff, order stock, customer service, sandwich making and cash handling. I also helped the manager organise rosters, banking, catering orders and staff changes. I would run the store on the owner/managers behalf while he was away overseas. My responsibilities as a volunteer zoo keeper was to see to the care and feeding of the Koalas with my located area. Each morning I would clean their enclosures, make sure they were well and feed the other animals in the koala area. When guest arrive I would tell them about the Koala and show them how to pat them, as well as make sure the Koalas were not distressed. In the afternoons I would put in new branches to for the Koalas to feed on and dispose of the old ones. Other task include small presentations, cleaning wombat, kangaroo and bird enclosures, as well as general maintenance of the park. Show less
