  New Student and Transition Programs is a student-led, nonprofit organization at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo that plans and executes three flagship events every year: Week of Welcome, SLO Days, and Open House. Each event is spearheaded by a small group of student leaders who volunteer their time and energy. As the Sponsorship and Marketing Intern, I had the opportunity to manage 30+ local and corporate businesses to provide sponsorship opportunities and perks for all three programs. In this role, I designed sponsorship packages, a website page, and brochures and planned and executed the on-campus Sponsorship Fair during Move-In Weekend for 5000+ students and their families.

  New Student and Transition Programs is a student-led, nonprofit organization at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo that plans and executes three flagship events every year: Week of Welcome, SLO Days, and Open House. Each event is spearheaded by a small group of student leaders who volunteer their time and energy.My primary responsibilities as a WOW Team Lead for the Events, Resources, and Logistics Committee included creating, planning, and executing 9 events for the Week of Welcome, coordinating a campus-wide Club Showcase, and overseeing the Events, Resources, and Logistics team. This role shaped much of my life during my time as a student and I can proudly say that I had a part in training 900+ Orientation Leaders to prepare them for the Week of Welcome (including presenting on topics such as alcohol awareness, sexual assault, mental health, academic success, leadership development), developing programs and events for 5000+ students during the Week of Welcome, and fostering the collaborative environment for a 50 person orientation team.
