I’ve had the pleasure to work in Tess’ team at UBS for a bit over than two years. I have come to know Tess as a true leader: she always fought hard to equip her team with the tools, access and resources needed to deliver best-in-class client experiences. Moreover, she strived to develop each one of us according to our interests, skills and aspirations. Regardless of your position or rank, Tess was always very approachable for everyone in her team and beyond: if there was a problem or uncertainty, you could simply talk with her and she would provide guidance and support. I think this led to a healthy level of stability in sometimes uncertain times. I found it very inspiring that she didn’t even try to pretend that she knows everything better than the people in her team – she simply ensured that each of us can really deliver and impact with their strengths and expertise where they can make the greatest difference for the organization.
