As part of the opening team, my responsibilities were primarily to contribute to the success of the restaurant As a Southern Public House, we pride ourselves on the quality and freshness of the food we provide. We not only serve great quality food, but we take pride in the experience we give our customers. Dining is never just a meal, it's an adventure. The Peacock's Tail was a company owned by a woman named Brenda who ran a lot of self-run businesses (ie. ItWorks! JuicePlus, etc.) My primary tasks included making sure that all of those businesses were managed via emails, calendars, meetings and constant contact with clients. I spent a lot of my time managing their blog as well. As well, I searched weekly for articles to post on the blog to inspire her clients, whether they were how to focus your life goals, ways to boost your self-esteem, rituals of friendship, etc. You name it, we were on it. We would also take pictures weekly with the mascot (a small peacock statue she had) including inspirational quotes for our clients. It was one of the more fulfilling positions I've ever held.
