As the Director of Program Management at Area-I, I have known of TJ’s work as an intern since August 2020. More recently, she has directly worked for me as a mechanical engineering intern developing components and subsystems for a new launch system. TJ has demonstrated a continuous growth in her engineering abilities while working at Area-I. She is eager to use the engineering fundamentals and is adept at learning and implementing new ideas, skills, and tools. TJ is proficient in the use of CAD for design work and has expanded her use of SolidWorks to the use of Finite Element Analysis for stress and modal analysis. Other areas of work she has contributed are assembly designs, drawings, bills of material creation, hands on building of hardware, and testing. Her focus and initiative of following through with tasks to the needed outcome, beyond what is asked, is an admirable quality and shows a genuine passion for mechanical engineering. It has been a pleasure to work with TJ over the previous months and I believe she will be an outstanding addition to her future employer. I am happy to answer any questions regarding her experiences here at Area-I.
