Terry has been a great mentor for me throughout the years. I first met her at an event where she was speaking about how to launch a food startup and sell in retail stores. I had just formed my company and was looking to broaden my knowledge as a food entrepreneur. I signed up for one of her small group classes where I learned about positioning my product in stores and improving my product and branding. She introduced me to a fellow female food entrepreneur and advised us to team-up to help each other out. Thanks to Terry, we have been collaborating for years. Terry also introduced me to Kiva (a micro-loan platform) and with her help I received a loan to help finance my business. Whenever I get to talk to her I always learn something new.

I had the pleasure of meeting Terry through the New York Women's Culinary Alliance and worked with her on a couple of events for the organization. She is always professional, enthusiastic, and personable. She also is eager to help out others in the pursuit of their careers, and is a most patient and sympathetic mentor. I hope to work with her again in the future.

Making the invisible, visible. Fantastical creatures and otherworldly landscapes rise out of inanimate textures of asphalt, tar, water and wood that we normally walk past, revealing the raw beauty of what’s hidden in plain sight as a metaphor for the overlooked. Through the lens of Pareidolia (par-i-DOH-lee-a), finding meaning in the random like in cloud formations, my art questions what we thought we knew by challenging our initial perceptions and providing an alternate reality that coexists. By opening our eyes and minds to seeing new perspectives, we can be more present, experience wonder and shift familiar thinking. For decades, we have been working with aspiring entrepreneurs and more established food companies – helping them develop concepts, new businesses and profitably grow - through consulting, educational offerings and now strategic alliances. During the Pandemic, helped launch a Mexican lifestyle company from concept to business plan guidance and branding that raised $2M for this startup. Helped $100M company assess new business channels - resulting in major sales opportunities, a $20M company meaningfully differentiate itself vs. me-too competitors, and many smaller and start-up companies position themselves for success. Inspire innovation, disruption and creating new meaningful opportunities. Worked with a Fortune 500 company's Global Brand Strategy Team (Brand Strategy, Customer Insights, Brand Analytics & Guest Experience Teams); roundtables with Food CEOs of the Helm Society; and with interactive presentations at the Culinary Institute of America and Oneida. Have taught food business classes and guest spoke at the Institute of Culinary Education, New School University Food Studies, International Culinary Center, Culinary Institute of America, Columbia Business School / Columbia-Harlem SBDC, SCORE, Specialty Food Association, BevNet Boot Camp, Queens EDC, ITAC, Exceed Network, Down to Earth Markets, and elsewhere. We help entrepreneurs and business owners assess where they are and where they want to be, then give them the tools and assistance to get there. Show less
