Terrie is a dedicated teacher who is always looking to develop her skills and grow professionally. She accepts every challenge that comes her way and always gives it everything. I worked with Terrie at Girton Grammar School and developed a strong friendship with her over the years. She works very hard and it wasn’t unusual for her to be at her desk on a Sunday! Terrie has an excellent rapport with students and puts effort into building strong relationships with students, parents and other staff members. Students feel comfortable around Terrie and will often seek her out for support. She is a caring and committed teacher and it was with great sadness that I had to leave this working relationship behind.

What makes a good teacher? The list is long. It doesn't matter how up to date you are with pedagogy and curriculum, if you can't connect with your students, you are missing a unique opportunity. My questions for myself are always "how do I connect with this individual student? How do get them to connect with the content? How do I help them be the best version of themselves? How do I value add to them being 'whole' students? What makes a good teacher? The list is long.
