Terri Vidals recently provided a great educational course to the new Diversion Investigation Response team at Scripps Memorial Hospital La Jolla. Terri has a wealth of experience and seems to truly enjoy educating others. She is a thoughtful and gifted presenter, offering sage advice and real world experiences that made the training interesting and fun! She is an inspirational leader and I highly recommend her services to those interested in identifying, managing, and preventing drug diversion within their facilities.

I enjoyed working with Terri Vidals for a year and a half at Tri-City Medical Center, where she was the medication safety officer and manager of pharmacy operations, and I was the critical care pharmacist. One of Terri’s many positive attributes is her strong work ethic. Despite my shifts being 10 hours long, Terri was often present at work prior to my arrival and was still there by the time I left. Once Terri starts a project, she always sees it through to completion. Any time I had an issue with the inventory of controlled medications, drug shortages, possible drug diversion, etc., Terri always promptly addressed the issue and followed up promptly. Another one of Terri’s strengths is her vast knowledge of processes to ensure that medications are utilized and delivered safely. The intensive care unit presents many unique challenges in terms of medication safety. Terri was a great resource for me. In addition, if she was uncertain how to approach a situation, she conducted thorough research and, when appropriate, reached out to others for their input. Finally, Terri is detail-oriented and meticulous in her work. I was greatly impressed by the quality of Terri’s work. Terri took ownership of all tasks and projects and produced high-quality and accurate work. Terri is well-equipped as an expert in medication safety and drug diversion. With the utmost confidence, I recommend Terri as she is diligent, committed, reliable, and possesses a strong knowledge base. Please feel free to contact me if you should need any additional information.
