She provided great leadership while still encouraging creative freedom, and her enthusiasm and passion to produce a fantastic product created a positive work environment. A full-time immersive data science student, with over 450 hours of instruction and 5 independent projects. Employ a hands-on approach to conduct end-to-end machine learning in Python using a variety of datasets. 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗠𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀 𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗽𝗽𝘆 𝗘𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆𝗲𝗲? My 5-week solo Capstone project investigated the factors that influence a person’s level of satisfaction at work using an EU survey dataset consisting of 300 questions and 44,000 individual responses across 28 European countries. EDA was employed to address missing data, redundant features and to determine the modelling step as a classification problem. Feature Engineering was used to ask particular questions surrounding the data - specifically, is job satisfaction due to a mismatch in skills between the employee and the position. Modelling resulted in recommendations for companies to improve the happiness and ultimately retention of their staff. Show less

The aim is to empower people to take control of their career paths, and map out their goals to give themselves some control in this ever-changing environment, where the biggest constant is uncertainty (especially for young people just starting out). Alongside Eluceo, I ran science projects in the Surrey, Hampshire and Dorset area. Focusing on the Biotech and Robotics industries, I took students (often years 9 & 10) into the workplaces and labs of these companies to help them gain a better understanding of what science careers are available to them and what their day-to-day working life might look like.
