  Producer - My Night, SABC 1 MyNight is a documentary reality series that documents the once-in-a-lifetime, rite of passage that is the Matric Dance. Each episode follows one teen’s exciting, emotional journey as they prepare for their big day and culminates in the excitement of the night itself. As the Producer on this show, I researched, scripted, produced and directed 13 episodes across Gauteng.   YOTV is one of South Africa’s most popular youth television shows. It airs on SABC 1, and has been on air for 21 years.As a Senior Content Producer for YOTV I was responsible for content creation. As a member of the production team I brainstormed, conceptualized, scripted, booked guests for, and produced daily live, studio based shows. On occasion I produced and directed location based inserts that aired within the live show. I was also involved with special ad hoc projects.

  Hectic Nine-9 is the daily, live, magazine show for teens that is broadcast weekdays on SABC 2 at 4pm. Boasting in excess of 2 million viewers per day, Hectic Nine-9 is SABC 2’s flagship youth show. The key role of Hectic Nine-9’s Insert Producer is to write, direct and produce insert driven content, both locally and regionally, for the program.

This included researching and securing all guests for studio as identified by the content team. Administration of information for music cue sheets with regards to studio music received from studio Sound Engineer. Sourcing and securing of relevant weekly EPKs. Compilation of betacam tape labels.
