-As a corrections shift corporal, my duties were to maintain and supervise a work schedule for thirty deputies assigned to my shift. -Responsible for daily processing of inmate data into the facility's computer system, to include legal documentation from courts/judges. -Other duties included pat down searches of inmates, cell searches, property searches, provision of inmate activities, daily communication with other law enforcement agencies and judicial officials. -Duties in the facility's mail department which included retrieving outgoing mail from a population of 900 inmates; transporting mail/packages to local post office; applying necessary postage to mail/packages; processing legal mail through a manual logging system; and browsing through mail for any security threats (concealed weapons, suspicious materials or chemicals, etc.); and responsible for distributing mail/packages to inner office personnel as well as the facility's population. -Served on the Work Release Program (8 to 4 Program) by escorting and supervising workers on work details, off campus sites. -Received an accommodation from the warden for my performance of my duties in a parish-wide round up of worthless check writers. I processed over 75 people into the system within the span of ten hours. -Systems used: AS400, Excel, and Word programs. SKILLS CPR and first aid training received 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 Weapons certified 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008 Experienced in handling hazardous chemicals.
