A collaboration of both, The National Urban League of Greater Pittsburgh and Robert Morris University, I am a mentor and cluster leader with operations of The Black Male Leadership Development Institute (BMLDI) from the RMU side. The BMLDI is a program that brings together a cohort of up to 80 African American young men in grades nine through twelve, to participate in a year-long program designed to increase educational and leadership opportunities. The BMLDI allows these young men to take the competencies that they already have, and expand them into a repertoire of leadership skills that can have a practical impact in their local communities and beyond.
