Candace Starkey

Teri is outstanding in teaching both technology skills and creating marketing ideas. No matter the level of one's skills, Teri always connects with her client. And since she is one and one, it is a perfect formula for success for her clients. I learned so much from her--she is constantly encouraging!

David Czarnecki

As Publicity Chair for the San Clemente Drama Boosters, Teri was tireless in her pursuit of expanding our network of community partners. She leveraged her vast knowledge of social media, brought in important partners and developed an successful outreach campaign that created a new audience to our productions. She was instrumental in finding new avenues of publicity, including her successful effort for free advertisement in our local movie theater. Her work ethic and commitment to the program, all as a volunteer and on her own time, was an invaluable contribution to the award-winning success of our shows. I would recommend her without qualification. David Czarnecki

    • President
      • Sep 2021 - Dec 2021

In 2014 I helped Cure SC and Save SC create Community Outreach Alliance 'COA', a collaborative effort, a positive solution for youth in our community battling the throes of drug use and addiction. I was instrumental in developing the Community Outreach Alliance programs including its trademarked seven-week prevention and recovery program ‘Thrive Alive.’ In 2018 I was nominated by the COA Board of Directors to the position of Executive Director to help COA transition and rebrand. I recently agreed to take the position of President to continue the efforts our community started to help provide healthy activities, hope and education to the youth in our community. My goal as COA President is to work with businesses, individuals and other nonprofits to encourage community involvement and youth leadership. #togetherwearestronger #COAstrong #thrivealive Show less

    • Executive Director, Volunteer Board Appointed
      • Oct 2018 - Sep 2021

Ability to roll with the changes: In 2018, the Executive Director/CEO suddenly resigned and gave two months for COA to relocate; I was voted the interim Executive Director by the Board of Directors. Since I was the co-creator of COA programs it was a natural transition at the time. Fortunately, COA networks in the community and the generous support from Stego Industries supported the staff required to continue. My main goal was to insure the newest program COA created 'Thrive Alive' continued without a glitch and that goal was achieved as it is now fully trademarked. The other goal was to insure the COA Food Connection found a new home. After a year of temporary housing COA finally settled in at the Baha'i Center of San Clemente. I'm overjoyed by the support in our community and will continue in this volunteer position in 2020. Show less
