  Terese worked in various support, counseling and psychological roles whilst studying at James Cook University in Far North Queensland, Australia. Initially with Project 300 Terese supported clients reintegrating into the community after long-term institutionalization, she provided daily care for disabled clients through Blue Care, and co-facilitated forensic and domestic violence behaviour change programs in the community and at Stuart Prison whilst studying her undergraduate degree. Terese also completed four placements as part of her Masters Degree. The first at James Cook University Psychological Clinic and the second involved being part of a multidisciplinary team caring for individuals with moderate to severe chronic disorders at Community Mental and Health Care. At Townsville Hospital she worked on the hospital ward, with outpatients as well as supporting clients in the psychiatric ward, and lastly, Terese worked with families at the Traumatic Brain Injury Clinic.
