  This is a remote placement. Families can access the website to view enriched knowledge provided by the students of Guelph-Humber. My area focuses on cooking with children. Last semester revolved around cultures. Each week, I picked a recipe from a culture, cooked it and provided the developmental factors. This semester, I am cooking with a two year old to show how parents can get their children involved in the kitchen. This is a remote placement.   I had the opportunity to be placed in a grade 2/3 split class. The teacher shared her lesson plans with me and allowed me to teach the class. I used the Ontario Curriculum to create lessons for the students that focused on numeracy, literacy, science and art. Additional tasks included communicating with the staff, photo copying worksheets for the students and assisting them with their work. I had the opportunity to be placed in a grade 2/3 split class. Referring to the Full-Day Kindergarten Program and How Does Learning Happen? I planned activities weekly for the children. Activities focused on English, math and art. Tasks included cleaning the classroom, reading to the children and building relationships. This was my first elementary school setting.   The Children's Path follows the Reggio philosophy. They followed the children and engaged in what ever their interests were. The toys were rotated weekly and the activities were enriched. I had the opportunity to be in the toddler room. My tasks were to assist with serving snacks and lunch, plan activities once a week inspired by "How Does Learning Happen?", clean the room and insure that every child felt loved and secure.
