I teach a variety of courses, including algebra, geometry, precalculus and advanced calculus, to students in grades 8-12, including gifted students and English language learners. I designed an interactive project for a geometry class that combined mathematical proofs with social media in a unit on quadrilaterals, leading to a 2% increase in assessment scores. I also increased students’ mathematical confidence by implementing a word problem project, leading to a 4% increase in assessment scores in a lower-level precalculus class. Show less

Jun 2013 - Aug 2013
I applied for and received funding from Union College's Becker Career Funding for Non-Profit Internship as a Roger Hull Community Service Intern. During the summer, I worked three days a week in the food pantry and soup kitchen, where I prepared meals, packed food orders, and interviewed residents about their needs. I also worked part time in the church office for the Blessed Sacrament Shrine Church, where I organized and restructured the filing system and managed day-to-day operations. I also created promotional materials and assisted with redesign of church website, as well as planned and led educational activities for a weekend retreat with children ages 5 to 9. Show less
