Having recently become the Artistic Director of Lowicz Polish Vocal-Dance Ensemble, I embark on a new challenge where I can utlise over 20 years of dance and performing arts experience within the group.Łowicz Polish Vocal-Dance Ensemble is a vibrant, enthusiastic group of Polish youth. The group's major aim is to promote Polish folklore and traditions within the Polish community of Melbourne through dance, song and music. The ensemble regularly meet to learn dance, practice their skills, to share their culture and ultimately bring pleasure to the Polish and Australian communities through their performances.The ensembles captivating dance, rich costumes and orchestral music has mesmerised audiences for almost 30 years. Łowicz regularly performs nationally, having toured to many major venues such as Sydney Opera House, Federation Concert Hall Hobart, Adelaide Festival Theatre, Perth Concert Hall, Federation Square Melbourne and many humble stages along the way. This role entales: Planning the artistic calendar for the year, involving choreography, instructing dance techniques and execution, singing and development, that are maintained at a weekly rehearsal.Planning and executing of various performances, including weddings, festivals and theatre concerts, throughout Australia.Developing and maintaining of good relations with other cultural organizations by participating in meetings and joint activities where appropriate.Act as spokesperson for the Ensemble’s artistic purpose where appropriate eg.
