Java / Linux / Angular / Sring Boot / SQL Server / MySql / API Dev / .Net Core / C# WinFormPRASA Ticketing System (ITix)I am very proud of the solution that we have provided to PRASA. The system is called ITix and it handles millions of records daily and was developed using a wide variety of technologies.I was responsible for the technical design and planning/implementation of this project. The ITix Project automates the cash handling of PRASA at stations, all sales from different POS devices, and all events around managing the user balances and cash floats are automatically send to SAP, where an auto reconciliation with the bank account would occur. This project had covered a wide area network of connected databases that had to keep some data synchronized. Fare maintenance/ station maintenance / selling devices / printers / end-user biometric sign-on at multiple levels had to be catered for. ITix POS is based on a distance matrix fare calculation methodology.ITix was developed to run on linux (Debian) with a mysql server database at the stations, where data was synchronized with a sql server database at head office level. We had to develop our own USB driver for the printers that we used (Printronix t4m, Printronix T6204 and ARGOX).The back-office management was done using a WinForms C# Application which was eventually upgraded to angular and dot net core API. We have provided support on this system since deploying it in 2013.Client: Sun International
