I worked with Tenesha through the Student Minority Advisory and Recruitment Team and a campus-wide women’s health festival. Tenesha and I began our working relationship through involvement with various University events. Having the opportunity to work closely with Tenesha, I immediately recognized her initiative and strong work ethic in efficiently executing any task at hand. While working together in SMART, her participation on every level deemed her a key player and leader within the organization. And during a women’s health festival, Tenesha gave a great deal of support in marketing efforts, event operations, and knowledge as a Kinesology major. A few noteworthy qualities that Tenesha is truly known for is her enthusiasm and persistency. Often times when a team needs to pull together to achieve a goal, the morale tends to suffer during critical times. Tenesha will always lead the first and last reminders of what the goal at hand the type of determination required to do it. As a colleague and classmate, Tenesha has taught several how to lead event without a title, how persistency affects one’s success, and how a positive attitude furthers one’s character.
