I am part of the SeedProgram in the Section foR Health Choice, Policy, and Evaluation. In this role, I manage multiple projects and co-manage a team of over 10 research assistants. Primarily my role consists of leading an NIH funded study to understand the impact of racially targeted food and beverage marketing on the eating behaviors of black and brown adolescents. In this role I train research assistants to follow an interview protocol, problem solve issues with recruitment and interview procedures, manage supplies for interviews and participant compensation, have led recruitment and retained relationships with eleven community organizations who help us recruit adolescents, and increased our capacity for conducting interviews by 300% to meet community partner needs. Additionally, I manage and/or contribute to data analysis and manuscript writing for other research projects and assist in preparing various components of NIH R01 grants. Show less
