  Policy formulation, Licensing, Regulation and Off-site and on-site Surveillance (Supervision) of Micro-finance sector. Work as counter part team and team member( coordinator) of various projects. Prepare annual work plan and budget of the directorate. Leading various on-site, off-site and special supervisions. Actively participated in various high level projects e.g National Financial Inclusion Strategy, Corporate 5 Year Strategy etc.. Lead, coordinate and participate in various projects and initiatives of the the central bank which have an impact on the financial sector. Currently, working as a Chairman of the Technical Committee established for Credit Reference Bureau project of the Bank to include borrowers of Microfinance Institutions and Lease Companies in the credit information sharing. As per the 2019 World Bank Group flagship report of doing business rating Ethiopia stood at 159. Hence, this Credit Bureau Project is aimed at enhancing the investment climate of Ethiopia through increasing the doing business rating of Ethiopia (i.e., as one component of the rating is getting credit/expanding borrowers coverage). Moreover, I was a project Coordinator to automate the regulatory and supervisory system of the National Bank of Ethiopia through the deployment of Banking Supervision Application system from Bank of Mozambique. I had also worked as a member of a Technical Team established to study the human resources management related issues of the Central Bank. Show less
