Eka Cultural Resources and Research was set up in 2009 to address the increasing need for a professional organisation within the culture and heritage industry. Eka aims at providing professional services that add quality and excellence in this field. This nascent and niche sector has the potential to employ a large number of people and significantly increase revenue for cultural institutions. We identify and create key linkages resulting in an increase in both tangible and intangible cultural activity. Eka prides itself on being able to create content with tailored solutions for a diverse range of cultural activities. The company specializes in planning and creating archives, museums and cultural complexes. Eka also provides assistance in research, documentation and publication for a wide range of cultural industries. We scenograph & create content for arts festivals, seminars, and symposiums, and help design exhibitions. Our services extend to advising art collectors on their material object acquisitions and the management of their collections. We also serve as a nodal agency for the promotion of cultural tourism in India with a focus on indigenous culture and the performing arts. Show less

The UFP’s curriculum draws from the IIHS curriculum co-created in partnership with the world’s leading universities including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), University College London (UCL), the University of Cape Town (UCT) and the Federal University of the ABC Region, Sao Paulo (UFABC), in addition to nearly a hundred practitioners and scholars from across India. There are seven key Learning Elements. The Commons The Elective Courses The Internship Applied Practica Skill Labs Immersion Trips Master Classes Academic Calendar The seven learning elements are structured across three terms: the Commons Term, the Elective Term and the Internship Term. Fellows are in residence in Bangalore for the first two, and in their internship placements for the third. Two immersion trips are in between. Skill Labs, Applied Practica and Master Classes run throughout the Commons and Elective terms. The Fellowship runs from 1st August 2016 to 5th May 2017. Show less
