Initially brought on to assist with a special project, I became responsible for the end-to-end recruitment of field security officers for Victoria and Tasmania. Due to recent internal turnover, there was a three month backlog of recruitment. After redesigning the recruitment tracker in Excel to more effectively manage the candidate pipeline and experience, I was able reduce the pre-employment check function to two weeks (previously at least a month). This enabled me to process approximately 60 candidates for offer in 5 weeks.

I managed the centralised recruitment process for the Nursing and Midwifery Workforce Unit. This involved leading a small recruitment team and assigning tasks and priorities based on our changing workload. I ensured that all recruitment and onboarding process for Grade 2 nurses, midwives and PCAs remained on-track and met the set KPIs. I also produced daily reports to demonstrate how these processes are tracking and used these to identify obstacles or blockages in our workflow. I managed the end-to-end recruitment and rostering of approximately 300 casual staff, supplying them to various councils and schools across Victoria during school terms. I worked closely with clients on a daily basis to ensure supply and forecast demand. In order to improve forecasting, I changed our rostering system from weekly to term-based, which provided better visibility around availability and coverage of shifts. I also handled basic payroll and invoicing.
