I had the unique pleasure of working with Teena at CCME. Teena was a direct report with responsibility for managing our software development and analytics teams. I found her to be a deeply technical resource on all matters of IT with special focus on .Net software development. She managed staff resources required across multiple contracts and led development efforts in support of new versions of our software but more importantly, the development of new products that supported business. She also has a strong understanding of the business that allowed her to design very effective products aimed at the quality improvement, healthcare and analytics verticals. I would highly recommend Teena for anyone looking for a very senior software developer, architect and leader.

During my tenure at CCME I worked with Teena both as a peer and then as my supervisor. She was always a detail, goal oriented, dependable co-worker. When she was working as my team-mate she was always available to lend her perspective and expertise, which was very well rounded, to advance a solution for a given problem. As my supervisor she enabled me to do my job by giving me clear and valuable direction both from her perspective and from those that she answered to in senior leadership. At the same time she allowed me to function well within my skill set, depending upon the expertise that I brought to the table. I consider her a very good manager in that she kept a very good balance between two extremes of leaving me alone in my job endeavors and trying to micro-manage my work. She was always available and I always found her insights to be helpful.

Managed a team of developers, database administrators, and data analysts across several projects in North Carolina and South Carolina. Set strategies for software development for the company while also architecting proofs of concept and developing Web applications for internal initiatives and for contracts with the North Carolina Division of Medical Assistance. Met with team members to provide advice and brainstorm on the best solutions and design changes to help ensure maintainable and streamlined Web applications with user-friendly user interface. Created project estimates, budget, and timelines using Microsoft Project for upcoming projects and served as a subject matter expert for software development during proposal writing.Developed more than 20 applications that supported various contracts won by the company. Architected and developed two products that could be easily customized and reused across similar contracts for different states. Six of these applications were dashboard applications for various contracts that had a heavy SQL need. Five of these Web applications were created for contract and process management. Show less

Created an application, using VB.Net and Microsoft Access database (later migrated to SQL Server), for pulling large amounts of prescription/sales data from external national and international pharmaceutical industry sales data sources, which were then filtered based on preconstructed business rules, keyed by referencing an Access database, and then exported into files for loading into Oracle. This application saved the company thousands of dollars as the process that took around 10 analysts 2–3 weeks to complete was streamlined to complete in a couple of hours by the click of a button. Recreated a production critical site originally coded in PHP and TCL with MySQL backend to a Web application using VB.Net and SQL Server. Worked as part of a team in migrating the company’s intranet Web sites to a new clustered Web farm, and also worked on automation of a factory shift pass down site.
