Order materials for production as per MRP utilizing SAP plus other available information. Communicate any supplier service issues that will affect the production plan to the planner, the production line and supporting service departments as soon as the issue is confirmed. Ensure all projects are managed so packaging is procured in a timely manner and write-off is kept to a minimum. Devise a strategy to ensure packaging is available for key products within lead time so that production can continue during breakdowns etc ensuring warehouse capacity is not exceeded.

Purchasing raw materials, packaging etc for the manufacturing of all products in the factory including the importing of some raw materials from overseas. Following up of back orders and non-delivery of goods. Expediting of urgent requirements. Notifying the planner and the production team of the outcome of these requests. Negotiating with suppliers with regards to cost, lead times, economic and minimum order quantities, etc to ensure the smooth delivery of materials and the reduction in downtime of the production process.
