Capital Works Project Manager
-
Feb 2019 - Sep 2020
I was so grateful for my time with the Royal Tasmanian Botanic Gardens as the Capital Works PM, what a great array of staff. I confirmed my initial thought that this role would continue to progress my PM career, my interest and skillset in design and construction management, on what I always seem to look after - exciting and challenging projects. I was so warmly welcomed by staff and enjoyed working with the team to translate their requirements into deliverable staged projects. Oct 2016 - Feb 2019
My position saw me interact with every part of the Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH), which I truly enjoyed. The RHH staff are a committed and passionate group and a valuable service to our community. The work my team undertook was extremely broad, with the last phase seeing the team Decant B Block for demolition, which required considerable early works including fit-outs, negotiating leases, and inter-agency agreements and other significant contracts. My last role on the project for my team was on procurement, procuring all of the Furniture, Fittings and Equipment (FF&E) for the new K Block - the entire team was always so dedicated working toward the red-ribbon opening.
