I had the pleasure of working for Ted, not just once, but twice in my career. The first time was in 2000 when I started my career in the medical sales industry with Pfizer. At that time, Ted was the VP of Sales for Pfizer Consumer Healthcare. Although I did not directly report to Ted as his role was a very senior position, Ted always treated me, and everyone else, as if they were on the same level. There was never any feeling of belittlement for those below him. Moreover, Ted was an excellent leader and knew how to inspire and motivate the salesforce through a genuine mix of candor and compassion. This ultimately led to incredible success for the entire company with year after year growth in the Consumer Healthcare division of Pfizer. I was lucky enough to get another opportunity to do some contract work for Ted in 2010 and 2011 at Norrizon Rx. Once again, Ted was able to deliver and inspire his saleforce for even short-term contract work and continued to deliver results and value for his clients. I owe a great deal of appreciation to Ted for teaching me how to lead people effectively and achieve results while always maintaining respect and integrity for colleagues and clients.
