      Co-founded company with Josh Siegel to develop and manufacture a cheaper inertial navigation system. I derived an analytic solution to a multiplicative extended Kalman filter for fusing input from multiple sensors. Next time I'll make a computer solve it numerically; solving it analytically took forever! The device won the Boeing Prize at the MIT-West Point Soldier Design Competition in April 2008. Wrote computer programs in C++ and Fortran that used those formulae to determine that a proposed experiment would not yield useful results. Presented results to the Chair of the ODU Physics Department, Colm T. Whelan, PhD., ScD.
