Assist project staff in the collection of water samples in the Denver region. Technicians collect water quality and flow parameters using in-stream sondes and velocity sensors which require employees to enter streams they are currently working on. The primary motivation for the Colorado Stormwater Center’s (CoSC) E. coli field sampling efforts is to assemble and provide a quality dataset to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment’s Water Quality Control Division, which will support the development of E. coli Total Maximum Daily Loads (TMDLs). More specifically, the Division’s Restoration and Protection Unit TMDL Workgroup will use the data to accomplish their overarching objective, which is the development of TMDL reports for prioritized waterbodies identified as impaired on Colorado’s 303(d) list
