• Voice Lab Research Assistant

  While working in Dr. Preeti Sivasankar's Voice Lab, I have a multitude of responsibilities which include, analyzing data via a computer software for speech analysis known as Praat, computing information into Microsoft Excel, assisting Doctoral Students in their research, as well as communicating with the community on possible opportunities. I also discuss research studies relating to voice with my peers and mentors weekly.

  I am the current mentor to two students within the College of Health and Human Sciences. My job is to be their guide throughout the 2020-2021 school year. We discuss peer mentoring goals and expectations, academic success, personal well-being, how to navigate throughout Purdue, career development, etc.. I contact them weekly and document their experiences for the betterment of the College of HHS and Purdue University as a whole.

• Early Childhood Development Research Assistant

  As a research assistant, I traveled to elementary schools within the Greater Lafayette Community and conducted learning assessments with students in kindergarten. Within the lab, I was responsible for entering data, organizing folders and materials, transcribing and coding videos, as well as reviewing transcripts.

  The Boiler Kids Camp is a camp hosted at the Co-Rec at Purdue University. Here I supervised children grades K-6 during play, swimming, dining, as well art and crafts, as well as science. I also ensured child safety as I was required to become certified in CPR, Blood Pathogens Exposure Control, and Belay. As a counselor I also took part in organizing activities and events.
