  Since 1936 the Teahen family has been helping families of all faiths cope with the death of a loved one. This heritage of personal service began in January 1936 when Henry and Marian Teahen converted the Teahen family residence at 600 First Avenue NW, Cedar Rapids into a funeral home. Following Henry’s death in 1966, Marian continued the family tradition with her son, Peter R. Teahen. In 1978, they built the present funeral home at 3100 F Avenue NW, Cedar Rapids. In 2003 a second location was added at 115 1st Ave East, Walford. Marian Teahen remained active in funeral service until her death in 2007. The tradition of personal service is carried on today by the founder’s son Peter R. Teahen and granddaughter, Elizabeth M. Teahen. Show less
