Teagan was appointed to the role of Deputy Principal at Westbourne Grammar School in 2022 and has made an extraordinary impact. Her level of maturity, expertise, and accomplishment belie her years. Leading the day-to-day operations of our school, Teagan and has made significant progress improving the efficiency and effectiveness of our systems, structures, and processes. Successfully leading strategic projects related to wellbeing, our co-curricular program, digital strategy, capital works, and many others, she also actively contributes to governance by attending all Board and Board sub-committee meetings. Her exceptional operational and strategic ability is matched equally by her ability to foster strong relationships, and she is well-respected by everyone who has had the pleasure of working with her. Teagan is also a learner with an unmatched intrinsic motivation to continue to grow and develop. She has commenced her PhD studies this year, after graduating from the Australian Institute of Company Directors (AICD) course in 2022. Prior to this she completed a Master of Educational Leadership and a Master of Business Administration. Teagan is being asked to speak at conferences on the topic of women in leadership and I can think of no greater role model for other aspiring young female leaders to look up to. Teagan is not just a new voice in school leadership but one of the most outstanding educators I have worked with. Her career trajectory will see her become a Principal in the coming years and her engagement in the broader educational discourse is only just beginning
