Matt Rieke

I am Matthew Rieke, currently a second year at the University of Virginia who has witnessed the many talents of Thomas Williams first hand. Thomas Williams is a peer of mine who I have known through tremendous trial. He is a pledge brother within my Alpha Kappa Psi pledge class. Our chapter of Alpha Kappa Psi has a pledging process that includes a tremendous level of learning assignments geared toward personal growth. Of the many hours that I have spent in the library with my colleagues, Thomas was always helpful and willing to support any member of the pledge class. I have seen him grow as a person, learn from his pledge brothers, and teach unique skills to myself and others. However, my relationship with Thomas is not only based on a foundation of work. We have developed a friendship or bond that is stronger than almost any other friend of mine. Thomas and I share a relationship founded in friendship, work ethic, and professionalism. Thomas is a well-qualified individual for any position. He is a versatile member of a team and can act in a leadership role, a supporting role, and simply follow orders when necessary. He is accommodating in his work style and possesses skills that will benefit your organization. I consistently praise Thomas for his high level of attention to detail. Thomas ensures that the details of his communication style, analytical thinking, and presentations are perfected. He cares intensely regarding the output of his work; however, he is flexible enough to ensure that he can work in the most efficient manner. Thomas is a fantastic communicator and is able to communicate in a professional manner, but open up and become relaxed if the situation deems it appropriate. Thomas has a broad range of experience and education. Through his major in the Biomedical Engineering department he has succeeded in accumulating an in depth knowledge of the sciences and a strong ability to analyze information. However, Thomas can support an organization beyond the information and skills that he has gained from biomedical engineering. Thomas has a deep passion for business and has pursued this passion through an Engineering Business minor and Alpha Kappa Psi, a professional business fraternity. Thomas will be able to improve the focus on information, details, and the success of your organization as a whole. Thomas is one peer who I can safely recommend for any organization.
